Sima Khanzadi

Sima is an Iranian-Canadian artist whose work is shaped by travel, cultural experience, and a deep connection to nature. Working in both traditional and digital media, she creates paintings and illustrations that explore landscape, atmosphere, and memory. She is also recognized for her expressive portrait work.
Sustainability is an important part of her creative practice. Alongside her paintings, Sima designs handcrafted paper earrings using remnants and offcuts from her studio process, thoughtfully repurposing materials to extend their life and reduce waste. Her work reflects both artistic exploration and environmental awareness.

“I create art as a way to translate the places I have seen and the emotions I have carried into something tangible. Nature grounds me and continually inspires my work. Through painting, portraiture, and wearable art, I hope to create pieces that invite connection — to landscape, to memory, and to ourselves.”
