Quadra Quilters
Formed in 1993, members from Quadra Island's region share their love of quilting through education, fellowship, fun at monthly meetings. The Guild meets for ten months of the year and participates in sewing bees, 'Block of the Month" program, annual retreats, workshops and challenges. They support the community by providing comfort quilts made during their annual two day quilting marathon. These quilts are presented to community members in need.
"We explore a wide variety of techniques from traditional piecing to contemporary methods of quilt making. Some members transpose multidisciplinary skills into creative works of art and others keep alive the handwork of centuries old practices."
