Julie Glaspy

Julie Glaspy is a stone sculptor based on Quadra Island. Raised on Canada’s East Coast and trained in kinesiology, she has developed her practice through international symposiums, public art commissions, and collaboration with artists worldwide.
With forms hovering between the familiar and the dreamlike, Glaspy inviting viewers into a moment of quiet wonder. Providing a space where the familiar slips into the surreal, offering glimpses of memory, imagination, and reflection within stone.

Stone carries time differently than we do. Julie carves stone as a quiet invitation into a suspended moment.
Through constant refinement, Glaspy removes distraction until the form begins to breathe, revealing something between recognition and imagination.
Ho

vering between figure and echo.

Part body, Part landscape, Part animal, Part dream, where time loosens, and identity becomes fluid, asking not to be understood, but felt and explored.
The work resists explanation, inviting viewers into a slowed, surreal space suspending meaning into sensation.
These sculptures, like fragments of a larger dream, emphasize experience over the narrative, creating encounters that linger beyond the material.

"I invite you to pause, to dream with me."
