Helen Lee

I am a painter.

Painting deepens my connection to my immediate environment and I find my inspiration close to home: in my garden, my forest walks, cold ocean swims and wandering the paths and beds of the Old Farm Community Garden. The act of painting refreshes my senses and enlivens my spirit as I lose my self in the splash of water, paint, ink.

Although flowers have long inspired my large watercolour and mixed media still lifes, more recent works include landscape in abstraction drawing upon images from the community garden where I have gardened for many years.
