Terry Phillips

Terry's studio nestles in her productive fruit and vegetable garden at the base of mossy bluffs. Painting and needlearts merged in 1990 with Terry's first art quilt. A self-taught artist, curiosity and experimentation keeps her up to date with textile art's growing influence. Currently exhibiting with the 'Fibre Art Network' and 'Surface Design Association'.
“Textile art is my passion. Working with textile medium is the most challenging and satisfying way to create an image. I love exploring its boundaries; adding textural, sculptural, hand-dyed, hand-painted, and embellished elements. Nothing makes my day better, unless it is doing the same with friends. The natural landscape is my usual inspiration but I am drawn to just about anything – people, architecture, geometry, texture, colour, .... glitter... I specialize in custom longarm quilting on my APQS Lenni machine.”
